This program reviews brewers designed for in-home use to determine if they meet the rigorous requirements of brewed coffee quality as determined by the SCA. These requirements are based on decades of industry knowledge and research by the Coffee Brewing Center.

All SCA Certified Brewers have met these requirements, which are based on proper water temperature, brewing time, and ability to brew within the SCA Golden Cup recommendations. The brewer can join the shortlist of SCA to Certified. Just after passing all of the tests as described below and conducted by the SCA.

As of 2014, the SCA has renewed its cooperation with the European Coffee Brewing Center. Which also has a longstanding and reputable home brewer testing program. These programs, although serving separate markets, are aligned in both testing requirements, procedures, and rigor. Today, these organizations are together committed to the highest level of transparency and testing to promote better coffee brewing worldwide.

If you are a coffee machine producer and want to get the certificate, you have to submit your Model for testing.
